May was the kickoff to my 2014 wedding season and just weeks prior to their wedding I met with Sabahat and Marc for the very first time! I was surprised with their last minute booking and I shot my first wedding of the season a week earlier than expected. Lauxmont Farms in Wrightsville, PA was the perfect location for their spring event. The picturesque landscape included breathtaking views over the Sesquehanna River, sometimes with horses out in the pasture. Sabahat wore a beautiful custom bridal gown from Urban Design Concepts and dressed with the help of her closest friends. Marc’s J. Crew suit complimented Sabahat’s traditional attire perfectly.
Unfortunately, just as Sabahat approached the japanese gardens where their ceremony was to take place the skies opened up and it began to pour rain. They both were hopeful that the rain would hold out, but their ceremony was still just as special under their reception tent. Lucky for us we were able to get a break to head back outside for beautiful shots of the bride and groom with their family and friends.
Lauxmont Farms did not disappoint. There was even time for guests to enjoy a game of croquet overlooking the river. Sabahat and Marc’s reception included a sitar band and a hilarious improve comedy show by some of their friends. I had not known prior to meeting them that they had met while performing improve. It seemed with all the laughter that everyone enjoyed the show. I hope you enjoy viewing some of their photos!
