Let’s be real!
Goal setting isn’t for everyone and there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to getting clear on your goals come January 1st. However, after using the Cultivate What Matters Powersheets for the past 4 going on 5 years now, I have seen a drastic difference in accomplishing my goals when I approach them with, not only intention and meaning but the desire to leave a legacy bigger than myself.
Also, if I’m being real I want you to know that I’m sharing my honest opinions here and I use this powerful tool every year but I’m also using affiliate links that provide income for me to pour back into this blog. I’m always appreciative when you use my links for shopping! 🙂
But let’s sidetrack for one moment, please…
Can we squash January 1 as being the day when all your goals are set for the year? As the year goes by we change, grow, and evolve as do our goals. There is nothing magical about January 1st. I don’t want anyone to get stuck on a specific date that you need to have your goals ready by and as the year goes on, to always be open for making small tweaks to your goals as needed. The Powersheets include quarterly goal refreshes just for this very reason.
The magic behind why Powersheets work is their guided goal coaching which helps you uncover meaningful goals and gain clarity and joy for the year ahead. The key to successful goal planning is to fuel your goals with intention and meaning. The Powersheets help you do this through goal setting prep work and keep you accountable to your goals each month with their monthly tending pages. If I haven’t convinced you then read this stat: People who write their goals down are 42% more likely to achieve them!
I’m curious if you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by a super long to-do list (especially one that only exists in your head) or dreams that you want to accomplish but don’t even know where to start. One of my favorite exercises when I feel this way is to brain dump everything in my head and writing it down on paper.
Here is a little tip for how I organize my priorities each month!
There is a page in the Powersheets at that start of each month that allows you to brain dump the list in your head. I use categories such as family, business, and myself to place each item on my list. Then I circle items in those lists that I need to accomplish that month. If I still have room on my tending list and feel I could add more to that month I will pick some other immediate tasks I’d like to accomplish.
Once I have my tending list complete I give myself grace and move everything else to the next month. Each day when I view my tending list I only see what I chose to work on for the month and not everything else looming over me. This helps me focus on the more important tasks and I allow myself to not worry over anything else that can wait for later.
This year the Powersheets got a little upgrade to beautiful hardcovers and you can choose between two printed covers or two linen covers. There is also a convenient pocket inside the front cover to keep your loose papers, notes, or receipts until you can file them away. This year I’m team #teallinen!
I’m also loving the new monthly calendar spread. Some will now be able to use Powersheets exclusively for their goal-setting and planner while others will still use a separate planner but use the calendar spread to plan out their action-steps and progress for the month. Also, to make the goal-setting process fun and motivating a sticker sheet is included so you’ll feel energized each day you dive into your goal planner
Ok, so what should you get on launch day??
If you’ve never used Powersheets before and want to have fun and be motivated to start setting goals for next year I highly recommend getting the Best Year Bundle which includes your choice of Powersheets cover, your choice of accessory pouch, goal setting sticker book, washi tape, and wildcard page pack!
