Sometimes we all have to make sacrifices in our lives. Sometime they can be the hardest things we have ever done. I am thankful that up until now I haven’t really had to do anything that I didn’t really want to do and it usually benefited me in one way or another. Well this week I did so far the hardest thing that I have ever been asked to do. I moved with my husband from our home in Minneapolis, MN to small-town Enid, OK to support his life-long dream of becoming a pilot in the U.S. Air Force.
Last week we packed up our house and had it shipped to OK. We were lucky to have some intimate time with close family and friends who have loved and supported us in everything.
Today we arrived in Oklahoma and are unloading the moving truck at this very moment. I have no internet other than my phone so until we are settled there will be no posts.
I don’t really have a plan right now other than allowing God to guide me into His path and hopfully still persuing the things I love which especially include photography. I am also here to support my husband while he learns how to serve our country.
I am excited to start branching out and building my photography business here in Oklahoma and surrounding areas. I am not gone fron Minnesota for good. I miss home and still want to offer my Minnesota clients great rates so that I can get back and work there as well. Here is to the start of a great journey!

Hi Amy, thanks for sharing this, once we get married, things change so much and we are now a we and not I and photography is so universal nowadays that there is no limitation in what you can do and where you can go, it might take a bit adjusting, the feelings of feeling alone and the idea of starting over might bug ya but soon they will be gone and God’s planes for He knows what plans he Has for us, plans to prospers us, will unfold. God Bless you

Welcome to Oklahoma! I’ve been subscribed for a few months and this is the first comment I’ve left. I live in Edmond, OK, on the north side Oklahoma City. If you’re ever in the city and want to connect, it would be a great treat. Good luck!

Great post – you are missed here but I know you are going to do SUCH AMAZING things in Oklahoma. (PS – you are an awesome wife. It takes such a strong woman to allow your husband to follow his dreams when yours have to take a backseat.)

I’m proud of you Amy and know only good things are in store for both of you. I moved all over the country when I was younger and met some of the closest friends I have today. Its a great journey, enjoy all parts of it. Add me as a face book friend so
I can follow along on your journey. Your Mom will keep me posted too. Good luck in OK, watch out for those ice storms i have heard about, but what great pictures you will be able to take.
Have Fun!
