There is always something a bit more special when I get the opportunity to photograph a wedding of a dear friend. To know a couple on a personal level and to have the privilege of sharing intimate moments from one of the most important days of their lives. To be able to do this for any client is an honor. Other than your bride or your groom, there is really no one else that you spend more time with than the photographer. That is why I take great pride in my job and have much respect for my clients as they live out their day. I try to step back and tell the story, so that after the day is over, they have something to look at. Something that reminds them of why they were smiling that day. The images tell the story of a love two people have for each other. They tell a deep story of connection, feeling, and raw emotion.
So meet Tyler and Meagan. Tyler is a former ROTC alum of the University of Minnesota where he and my husband met. Not only that, but it is where Meagan and Tyler’s story begins. As Tyler moved on to pilot training in Mississippi Meagan followed and visited Columbus as often as she could. When Tyler graduated he found out that he would eventually be moving to Alaska where he would fly C-17s! Without hesitation Meagan knew she would be right there with him. Even before the wedding they made the trip to the last frontier, where they would soon call home.
The wedding day was just outside of Milwaukee, WI, near both their childhood homes. It was a great time for their closest friends and family to be there to share in their joy as they became husband and wife and started their new adventure together. This day is only just the beginning for all the great things to come as they begin their service in the air force. Welcome to the air force spouses club Meagan!! It is one of the hardest, but most rewarding jobs there is!
