With recent ice and snow storms rolling through the country and negative temperatures in Minnesota I’m seriously wishing I was on the beach playing with the kids and smelling the salty air. I miss the warm sand in my toes and those crazy wild chickens running around.
Last December Matt, Brooklyn, and I headed down to St. Thomas to visit our friends! Knowing so many people across the country has it’s perks and friends of ours had just recently moved to the caribbean! We were blessed by their hospitality and enjoyed daily ocean views, tasty eats, and a few bushwackers (the local island drink)!
We took a day trip via car ferry to St John where I captured this island family at Turtle Point St John and Caneel Bay Resort (who by the way has the best rum punch)! We discovered wild donkeys, sugar mill ruins, and washed up sea treasure. I am thinking back to how hot it was while we did the shoot, but we were rewarded with a dip in Trunk Bay and snorkeling among the sea life.
Stay tuned for more images from our trip as I document more of this beautiful family and a little of my own!
