I am working my way through some of my early 2012 weddings and it seems like forever ago that it was cold and wintery. I am excited to share with you some fun, beautiful winter weddings as we move through spring and into summer.
First up is a hugely inspiring couple for me and I think for many married people. Rebecca and Craig were planning a February wedding in Rebecca’s hometown when they found out that Rebecca would be getting deployed before the schedule wedding. Not only were they planning this wedding living in different states from each other, both serving as officers in the air force, but when duty called for Rebecca she worked through it and planned her wedding for a new date just two days before she was going to be sent overseas.
So shortly after these two said their vows in Wisconsin, Rebecca headed to serve in Kuwait and Craig moved to their new home in Washington where he would start is career flying C-17s. What a strong couple and a huge sacrifice each is making to serve our country. I was privileged to be able to serve them on their wedding day and capture such intimate moments for them. Now four months later and after word that her deployment would be shortened, Rebecca is stateside and will soon be together with her new husband! Now it’s time to enjoy real married life, at least for a little while, because we both know that air force married life is just a little different.
