Just when I thought my weddings were over for 2009 and I was looking forward to a relaxing holiday break in Minnesota with my family another one comes my way. This wedding especially hit home because Brandon is in the marines and being deployed. The reason why I had the privilage of sharing their day with them was because they had to reschedule the wedding to the day after Christmas due to the deployment and their original photographer Kimberly Williams Photography was planning to be out of town with family. So I was asked to take the wedding and of course I have to help anyone who is so willing to serve our country! I couldn’t say no!
Alyssa and Brandon were married on a beautiful snowy winter day at Epiphany Church in Coon Rapids, MN. I would love to photograph a wedding there in the summer since they have a great courtyard out back featuring a stone waterfall. It was a great backdrop for a winter wedding. The reception was at the amazing Edinburgh USA in Brooklyn Park. They never disappoint!
Good luck Brandon as you head to Afghanistan and thank you for your service. Alyssa, I know you made a decision to serve and support your husband just like I have! It isn’t always easy but they really need it. You are an inspiration to me! Enjoy your wedding photos together!
They chose to do a first look because we didn’t have a lot of lighting available after the ceremony so we could still get some great shots!
This would make me want to have a Christmas wedding! THe colors all fit perfectly!
Isn’t this church stunning!
I love the snow in these shots! Winter weddings are so fun! I wish I did more of them.
This is for their thanks you cards! Love the idea!
I love this location! It always looks great!
Good luck to you both in your marriage and service! Thanks you for allowing me to share your day with you!
