10 Years | Happy Anniversary

Exactly 10 years ago today we were together with friends watching the St. Louis Rams take on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVI! And just when no one would notice you said, “How about we make this official, will you be my girlfriend?” My stomach got butterflies, my palms were sweaty, and I might have felt a little light headed. All the typical feelings of a 17 year old girl in love! I will never forget it. I would never have imagined that ten years later I am still smiling! Because you still give me butterflies!

It has gone by so fast. I smile every time I look at some of these old pictures. It all brings back some great memories. But it also reminds me of how I felt. That love and romance that people say keeps a marriage together. I remember the note that I wrote to you when I was just 14. Remember, with the candy bar at summer camp? I still have the note! You wrote back to me. Those are the memories I love to think about. I never would have thought then that this boy that I just wrote to would someday be my boyfriend. No wait, my husband!! I am excited to keep dating you! Here’s to 10 more years of butterflies!
